My 2nd grade class is full of unique personalities. Creative, funny, dramatic, and mysterious, those are words to describe my students. They are also words to describe the stories they love to write and read! My students explore reading and writing together through Daily 5. I am building life-long readers, lovers of literature, creative thinkers, and effective writers. They choose a spot around the room to read. write, listen, work on words, or work with me. We are a room of authors, mathematicians, scientists, poets, teachers and learners!.
The students are well... me when I was their age.
They are growing and learning in the same small, tight knit, school community that inspired me to be a teacher. They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners.
My Project
The 20 drawer mobile organizer I'm asking for will make it easily accessible for the students to get at their Math games. They will be labeled and organized in the drawers. I will also use it for my word work for reading where I can more neatly organize our magnets, papers, stamps, etc. that goes with it. My goal for this project is to make it easier for my students to grab and find the materials or games they need to succeed by having it organized in the drawers.
I want my students to become motivated to learn, but without the tools they need to exceed expectations and reach their goals it may be hard for them.

Reinforcing the importance of organization helps students experience success throughout their lives. Thankfully, organization is not a trait you inherit.
