Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My wonderful second graders live and attend school in an urban area. They come to school every day with positive attitudes and lots of enthusiasm to learn. My students are energetic, creative, and quite inquisitive. They love to read, write, and express themselves.
My students have a tremendous love for learning and try their best daily.
It is my goal to provide each one of them with the materials and instruction needed in order for them to achieve academic success.

They take pride in keeping their work areas neat, and are always excited to sit on a rug that is clean and spotless.
I'm currently sharing a vacuum cleaner with a colleague that brought one from home. Due to high usage, we are not sure how long it's going to last. Our campus is large and we don't get our rooms cleaned as much as we'd like. There is a large amount of dust coming into our rooms because of an HVAC project going on in our campus. The rug is frequently left with footprints from workers coming in and out of classrooms. I am hoping that the use of a quality vacuum cleaner will help with these issues. I have also requested cleaning products along with wipes that will be used to keep desks, common areas, and materials clean.
