Nearpod Subscription for Student Engagement

My Students

Our Title I school has around 900 students who come from diverse backgrounds. A large portion of my school's population comes from poverty-stricken homes. They are kids with hopes and dreams of making their lives better and bettering the future of their families.

All of our students receive free lunch and most speak another language at home.

Despite their challenges, they make remarkable progress throughout the year. These students will one day change the world, and I cannot wait to see how far they go.

My Project

I have been using the free version of Nearpod during summer school - an interactive slide show tool that engages students and promotes collaboration - in our lessons and my students have fallen in love. They come in excited and ready to learn when they know it's a Nearpod day. With the class sizes going past the maximum some students aren't able to join in.

With a platinum membership, I will have access to all Nearpod lessons without any additional cost.

With this access, I will be able to allow students to interact with the lessons at their own pace and demonstrate what they have learned by completing interactive activities. Just to name a few, these interactive activities include matching, filling in the blank, and even drawing examples of content knowledge!
