Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are sweet littles who enjoyed coming to school before the pandemic. They loved STEM activities and anything hands-on. They are eager to come back to school face to face. As much as they and I would love to that, we have a new normal. As a general education teacher endorsed in special education, I service 17 typical students and 3 students with an IEP, which I create.
Our new normal consists of interacting with my students through Zoom sessions and other online platforms.
Besides the school curriculum, I use the free version of Nearpod with my students and they absolutely love it, since students love incorporating technology into their learning experiences. This is amazing to spark motivation and also as a way of engaging students in lessons a fun new way.
I am interested in offering my students fun opportunities to connect technology to their learning.
My Project
My young second graders love incorporating technology into their learning experiences. This is a great motivator and an amazing way of engaging young students with fun lessons. In my own experience with the basic free version of Nearpod, I see the multiple benefits and engagement that Nearpod gives to my students. I also have references from other teachers who are using it.
I would love to provide my second graders with the most engaging individualized technology lessons with Nearpod.
These lessons will mostly consist of reading, math, science, and social studies, and other times will be just for technology fun!
