Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My learners predominately live in low-income households. They come into the classroom daily carrying the stresses of most adults. They are focused on what/if they might eat dinner, who will be home when they get there, getting themselves up and dressed for school each morning.

My learners are hard workers and love to learn in new ways!

However, they are tired, most of them not getting an appropriate amount of sleep at night. When they come into the classroom and enter a welcoming room they come to life! They are loving and enjoy learning new things!

My Project

Using Nearpod will allow our lessons to come to life. With Nearpod we can interact with each other in different ways and engage in our lessons using technology. Nearpod will also allow for students to have our lesson slides in front of them to help them follow along with the lessons being taught! Nearpod is accessible through our iPads. Using the iPads creates a more engaging and enticing learning platform. Students can answer questions right on Nearpod and get instant results and scores.

Nearpod is a great platform to use with students to make sure they are enjoying their learning!
