My Students

I am lucky to teach 12 incredible students with Autism. We work hard, every day, to meet the needs of the students. We are a small community with a big heart.

As my students get older and their learning progresses we need more and more materials to keep them engaged and excited about their learning.

My students especially love science and social studies as well as hands on learning and games for math.

My students work hard, from the moment they walk into the classroom until the moment they get on the bus to go home. The students in my classroom make me excited to go to work everyday. I learn as much from them as they do from me.

My Project

The math materials will be new and exciting way to access difficult content - learning is fun! As my students get older and smarter their learning becomes more difficult. We strive every day to make learning as engaging, hands-on, and fun as possible. The more materials we have the more often we can engage in play and learning. Multiplication and division will be much easier when they can visualize it using these new games.

The new books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create.

My classroom library allows my students access to new information, and new areas of interest. My students love to share what they learn with others, especially students in their general education classrooms. All of these books have been chosen with my students and the curriculum in mind to ensure they are not only gaining to knowledge, but staying on track with the curriculum. Books about the water cycle, the constitution, and force and motion are all new concepts that are aligned to 3rd and 4th grade standards.
