My Students

I have the privilege of teaching students in every grade level in my school. Through my technology lab, we use technology in a way that enhances the curriculum and allows students hands-on application.

My students are filled with energy and are so hungry to learn.

They come into my Tech Lab in great anticipation to discover the great things that we will work on! They soak in information and get so excited about knowledge. I teach at a Title I school which contains low-income families. Every student in my school receives free breakfast and lunch. I take each opportunity to provide my students with the best experiences possible.

My Project

I am pursuing National Board Certification in the area of Literacy. The National Board Certification is an independent, nonprofit organization working to advance accomplished teaching for all students. It is a long, rigorous and expensive process but it will be worth it because it will make me a better teacher! National Board Certified Teachers have the highest achieving students! The process requires that teachers demonstrate subject knowledge, differentiation in instruction, create an environment for learning for all students and that they are reflective of their practice/lessons.

National Board Certification identifies teachers who meet high standards through a performance-based, peer-reviewed series of assessment components.

There are a total of four components, and I'm hoping for help covering the cost of the 3rd component.
