My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day with big smiles on their faces, eager to learn. They genuinely want to be at school and they have the most caring hearts! We have a strong community where we help each other learn and grow.

I teach at a Title I school where majority of our students did not have the opportunity to attend preschool.

100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch, and most students receive food bags for the weekend. Despite these hardships, my students are enthusiastic, loving, and try their best every day!

My Project

Our classroom library is a special place where my students discover a love for reading! They are free to choose any book they can read and want to read. Having an open library like this helps create authentic book joy.

I have seen the pure joy on my students faces when they are able to read and learn about topics they are genuinely interested in!

However, our current classroom library has a very limited selection of nonfiction books. With your help, my students will have access to over 50 brand new nonfiction science books! Please help me in supporting my students’ curiosity about the world around us!
