My Students

As a teacher in a Title I school and low-income area over the past six years, I serve a diverse population of students with various backgrounds and needs including English Language barriers, special needs, and a wide range in academics and interests. My students live in a transient area close to a military base.

We use the Leader in Me (7 Habits) curriculum to instill values and guide future leaders of our society and have focused this year on spreading kindness.

My Project

Our 21st Century learners are constantly changing along with learning new and innovative techniques and approaches in the learning environment. This project will assist me in becoming a more knowledgeable teacher, enhance my skills to meet each individual student need. It will allow me to analyze my teaching practices to build student achievement. As I reflect on my practices, my students will gain a higher quality education. They will become motivated to learn and enhance their education as they see me strive to reach my goals to become a National Board Certified Teacher. I will demonstrate a commitment to excellence and be able to assist others in this process in the future.
