Naps Can Help Preschool Children Conquer Their World!

My Students

We are a tight-knit school of 231 students ages Pre-K through 5th grade. Many of our families struggle with meeting the costs of living. 88.5% of our students qualify for free and reduced-price lunch.

As you can see by our classroom photo, we had a Pajama Day!

These students attend my full-day preschool. That is a seven hour day for these kiddos! Some of them even attend daycare before and after school. It is so important that they have the opportunity to rest, and many children actually fall asleep. We need high quality, durable rest mats.

My Project

We need comfortable, high quality mats so our students can rest. Children that don't nap show more signs of anxiety, less joy and interest, and a lower understanding of how to solve problems.

Daytime naps will mean better nighttime sleep.

Missing a daytime nap can lead to an overtired and irritable preschooler.

My preschool students attend school from 9:15 AM - 4:00 PM. That's a long day! Some students are even in daycare before and after school. It is so important that they have a comfortable mat to rest on during the day. Naps can help preschool children learn!
