I am blessed to teach third grade at a wonderful Title I school in northeast North Carolina. Our students are loving, hard working, easily motivated, and care about each other and their success! They thrive on competitions and reaching goals set for them throughout the school year.
Our students get excited, work harder and stay more engaged when an incentive or special celebration is presented to them as an outcome for their success!
We are a diverse school consisting of students and families from various backgrounds and cultures as well as Coast Guard families. They are each unique and have a special way of winning our hearts with their kindness and thoughtfulness. The students and staff at our elementary school has truly become a family to one another!
Our funded N25K Running Team Parts 1 provided our students with the resources to get started improving our running stamina and Part II took it to the next level, by providing a way to motivate and excite our teams to work hard at achieving their running goals with coolers, a hand held marking applicator wand and white marking chalk we used to create the running path for our team to use as path during each practice as well as at the end of the year during the 5K color run. Part 3 is requesting white t-shirts to tie dye for our uniforms when we have competitions among our team members and most importantly during our end of year 5K Color Run!
Incorporating unified tie dye shirts as their uniforms for each student on our running team will allow our students to show off their team-building skills, confidence, and increased running stamina to our families and community during our end of year 5K Color Run!
Our students have been so proud to tell their classmates about their experiences so far in being a part of the running team this school year. They will be so excited to hear we are seeking funding to provide them with "uniforms" too! Thank you so much for considering our N25K Running Team Part III project and for making an impact on our students exercise, health and wellness goals!
