My Students

I teach eager-to-learn 6th graders who love to learn especially when it involves using technology or an innovative approach that they have never experienced. Since many of my students come from low-income areas, it is up to the teacher to provide resources that they may not otherwise have access to.

I have a classroom full of bright, motivated, and at times academically-challenged students who want to be challenged and engaged.

Donors Choose allows me to provide possibilities to my classes that I wouldn't normally be able to afford.

My Project

This set of hardback novels of The Lightning Thief will help replace my worn out paperback version that we’ve used for years. Students truly love reading The Lightning Thief, a modern-day mythological bestseller! I love capturing their attention with tales of gods, goddesses, heroes, and monsters. This novel has been a wonderful way to get students enthralled in a world of Greek culture and myths. Both boys and girls alike go crazy over this book, and I would love to continue reading it in my language arts classroom. Please help us get our hands on these new hardback copies to enjoy!
