Talk about energy! This first grade class is the most energetic group I have ever encountered in my ten years of teaching! They are full of life and love. It is my joy and privilege to be able to learn from these children.

They are given six clues. These clues are related to a content area of my choice. Each clue matches a lock and brings them one step closer to "saving the world"!
The locks we requested are different combination locks and padlocks with keys. They are working within a time limit to match clues with the various locks to open the box. The pressure is on; can they do it?
Imagine how engaging this activity can be. Instead of just putting a paper assessment in front of students, I am providing them with a hands-on, collaborative way to show their skills in any subject area.
