My students are a diverse group with different needs and abilities in and out of the classroom, and they are so eager and willing to learn. When they step foot in our classroom, they know they have a teacher who loves them, classmates who want to help them, and a school environment where they can feel safe and successful. They are passionate about their learning and embrace challenges.
Our school lacks a lot of the resources needed for students to be as successful as they can be.
I hope to help my learners continue on a path of academic excellence.
My Project
Every year, my class has a mystery unit. With school being mostly remote, resources are hard to come by. I would really like my students to be able to hold an actual book in their hands. I want to give my students differentiated mystery books at various reading levels. The books will help us learn about the main components of a mystery.
Students will love reading engaging stories where they will get to play the role of detective.
It is important for students to have access to and experience with highly exemplary fiction texts in order to become strong, independent, critical thinkers. I will also use the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to find resources to accompany each book
