This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income school district, my students aren't always afforded the nicest and newest things for our classroom. Even so, my students love to learn! My students love to read, do science experiments, and most importantly they love to work together.

We are bucket fillers, we are kind and helpful, and we always try our best!

My students repeat this mission statement every day. We are working not only to be the best academically but also be well-rounded and productive individuals.

My Project

My students love using the website Myon to read books and have stories read to them. Myon allows the students to read and take comprehension quizzes to test their knowledge.

The Kindles would be an amazing asset to have in the classroom so the students can get on Myon while laying on the carpet or on a bean bag!

The students enjoy reading books digitally as well as with a physical book. The kindles would provide access to digital reading. Through using Myon and other reading resources on the kindle, the students have access to more books and topics that interest them, increasing their love for reading!
