My Students

Our community is very supportive of our school! My students are bright and eager to learn. They are sophomores, juniors and seniors who are passionate about chemistry and environmental science! Many will be the first generation in their family to go to college. The disparity between socioeconomic groups is stark at my school. I strive to "even the playing field" by providing necessities for all my students.I hope to focus their curiosity to develop critical thinking and a lifetime of learning.

My Project

My students typically do not have access to printers much less color printers. They need an opportunity to present professional papers, laboratory reports and other work.

From Flat Lorax to beautiful crystals, color adds so much to presentation!

My students take great pride in their work and are pleased when guests to our building notice their labs. They idea of the addition of color is very exciting as the added dimension makes their work seem more professional.

The book by Rachel Carson is an addition to our Environmental library that is needed for our historical discussions. We embrace the history of the environmental movement while acknowledging the work left to do.
