My Students

I work with absolutely the sweetest students in the entire school. I currently serve 40 English Language Learners, and despite many obstacles work hard every day to grow academically. They face their challenges daily, but they do not let that hinder their motivation. They are inquisitive, and they want to succeed. Speaking is an area we need to work on daily. They need time to practice, view, reflect, and practice again. Speaking scores really affect their overall English Proficiency Levels.

My Project

By using green tents, we can create our own "green screen studios". Students will be given opportunities to create Flipgrid videos about book talks/reviews, character analysis, poetry readings, how-to videos, practice presentations, and many more engaging speaking opportunities. The green backgrounds can be replaced with images to enhance and support the students' videos. The opportunities for creativity and imagination are endless. They will able to practice their speaking skills while allowing them to share their thoughts, feelings, and opinions. I can't wait to see what my students will be able to accomplish!
