My Students

My students are inquisitive, and they enjoy learning in unique ways.
They take pride in being part of and taking care of our classroom. By the end of the year, I expect my students to teach more than I do and to enjoy being responsible, organized, independent, and love learning. My students attend a Title I-funded school in an economically challenged area in California. However, that does not have to be a determining factor in education. They are stereotyped as being less than other children in better neighborhoods; yet, I teach them to always fight the stereotypes and to rise above negative thoughts.
My Project
We are currently doing an across the curriculum project that will end with a baking competition. We've done baking competitions in the past, but are always looking for ways to improve. We have never had aprons at our baking challenges and we have never had students design their own aprons.
It would be an awesome experience and another learning adventure to have students design their own aprons for the baking challenge.
With the heat press machine from Cricut, students would be able to design their own apron for the baking challenge.
