Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students are economically disadvantaged, but they still have the heart to continue their education and thrive to reach their maximum potential against all odds. We are a Title I, low-income school in the heart of Riviera Beach, and my students have an appreciation for every little thing because they only have access to little things they can afford. But don't be mistaken, no one has a bigger ambition to succeed and make a difference than my children.

My Project

We are the Pre Architecture and Engineering Academy at Inlet Grove Community High School. Although we recognize the possibility for an achievement gap between our disadvantaged students and their peers at other schools due to funding issues and financial hardship, the gap is non existent in our eyes. My students and I, and our facility at large believe in strength based IEP and academic programs.

While other schools used their laser cutters and 3D printers to display their prototypes, We used research based strategies to understand our audience and create storyboards from scrap materials, that spoke volumes about our projects.

Your donation will open up new opportunities for my students and help train them for the field of Additive and Subtractive modeling. Now that my students have the foundation and knowledge of materiality and means of construction, your donation will elevate their hands on knowledge to the next level.
