My Students Need Materials to Calm and Focus on Class Work
My students need 2 Adjustable HowdaHUG® Chairs, 3 weighted caps and 3 magical cushions to keep them calm and focused for long periods
Mario twists and turns in his seat, drums his fingers on his desk, and constantly raises his hand, calling for help while his teacher is lecturing or assisting other students. Can you help Mario to calm and focus on his task?
My class is a combination special education class which includes Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders.
All of my 15 students have different disabilities such as learning disability, ADHD, autism and deaf or hard of hearing. Six of them have attention problems as Mario has. They have trouble sitting still and concentrating on their work. They have to spend three to four times longer to do their classwork and homework. It is a big challenge to teach students from three different levels with Malti-disabilities, especially with attention problems in one classroom.
The good news is: Materials such as My Magical Cushions, Adjustable HowdaHUG® Chair, and Weighted Cap can help students like Mario. These materials would help cure the wiggles. They are ideal for students with sensory integration disorders, autism and ADHD. Adjustable HowdaHUG® Chair also has adjustable straps to be tightened to create a better "hug." All these materials would increase sensory input to keep students calm and focused for longer periods.
Dear donors, please help students like Mario with their concentrating problems.
With the teacher's guidance, the technology and materials will help my students focus on task for longer time. You will help them achieve their academic potential.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
