This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a Title l district where most of the students come from low-income households and they are very limited to the resources in the classroom.

Every day when my students arrive in the classroom, they are full of energy and anxious to see what is in store for them.

I teach 5th grade dual language and many of my students read at different grade levels. I would love to provide a welcoming classroom for them where they feel loved and welcomed.

My Project

My classroom is full of old student's desks that make it difficult for my students to collaborate with their peers or work in groups for projects. Countless times, I have had my students move their desks to work with their peers, but those desks are very heavy and numerous times the students struggle to arrange their desks to be able to collaborate with others.

The tables that I am requesting will be used the whole day everyday as they collaborate with their peers and in groups for different projects.

Please help my students to be active learners and happy team members!
