My students are imaginative and extremely enthusiastic learners. They come from a variety of households, including low-income and middle-class households. While we live in a small community, many have moved in from an urban setting.
My students have been struggling with distance learning because several of them are at home taking care of their siblings because their parents are on the front lines working as an essential worker.
Despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, they are eager learners.
My Project
Many of my students are from families of lower economic status. They don't always have the materials they need to stay engaged at home.
Providing them with supplies will help keep them engaged in activities over the summer.
Materials that are listed will allow them to enjoy learning and make the most out of their home-school connection. The markers will allow them to be creative and imaginative. The sunglasses provide them the opportunity to work outside, all while looking cool!
Since they missed out on so much during virtual learning, this is something that will be of great help to them! I hope that you will consider this essential and will provide funding for my project. Any bit of normalcy is truly a gift to each and every one of my students. Please consider!
