My Students

I work at an alternative school, and I'm committed to providing my students with as many avenues to access course material and continuous learning as possible!

My students are quick to pick up a book from my classroom library when they are finished with their work or need a break.

My Project

When my students are finished with their classwork or need a break, they pick up a book from my classroom library and read. Most of the time, the book they pick up is a graphic novel. They have especially enjoyed graphic novels that represent the middle and high school experiences of diverse characters, such as New Kid, Class Act, and Ms. Marvel by Jerry Craft and G. Willow Wilson.

I want my students to have more options for reading in my classroom.

With more graphic novels in my classroom, my students will read more.
