My Students

I have 25 eager sixth grade students that I have grown to love in our short 10 weeks together. Our 6th grade is still in the Elementary building, which is a simple reminder that these 11 year-olds are still kids. They are finding their way and their place in the educational system.

They are falling in love with learning and I couldn’t be more excited!

I can’t wait to see how they grow and learn throughout the rest of our year together!

My Project

As a teacher, one of your biggest wishes is for kids to love books. Well, my wish came true! My students begged me to allow them to read more while we were doing our novel study. Now, they are hooked! They want to continue the series with the next book. My students will build on previous information from the 1st book and easily be able to make strong connections. To make it even better, the new book aligns well with our upcoming Science unit to make cross-curricular learning easy and fun. I can’t wait to see their faces when they read the new book!
