My Story on Screen

My students need the Hamilton Digital Video Camcorder set so that they will be able to use camcorders to record their movies.

Make a Movie: Life Stories On Screen Allow High School youths an opportunity to participate in film production through the purchase of the Hamilton Digital Camcorder Explorer Kit.

I teach at a unique school. This is a school for teenagers in the foster care system. Many of these students have been moved from place to place. Some of them don't have many pictures of themselves as children. They have unique stories that I wnat them to tell and portray via film and photography.

The Hamilton Digital Video Camcorder Explorer Kit will enable my students to have a Video Production department in this school. This kit includes 4 video cameras. This kit will allow students to write their own scripts, tape their scenes and share their stories. They will be able to keep these stories and memories of relationships through adulthood. Working together on a production is a hands-on method of teaching conflict resolution and working well in a small group. Many of my students have trouble in these areas.

Your donation will open the door for my students to see the result of their hard work. To some of my students at this school a grade is not as tangible as a pantomimed short story that they edited or a movie production that they completed. This donation will allow students to see their work on DVDs and the computer screen!
