Ms. Evans from New Haven CT is requesting sports & exercise equipment through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students locks for the locker rooms as they participate in sports like football, basketball, cheer-leading and dance. Our Jaguars and Lady Jaguars need a place to store equipment, coats, and clothes while at school.

We are proud members of a magnet school in an inner-city school district. We all work together to investigate various issues globally and locally by means of magnet studies and STEM research. Students at our school are excited about learning and creating a community to be proud of. We are always looking for ways to enhance the lives of our family. We truly are a family with many siblings and relatives throughout the building!
Most of the students in our school are excited to engage in project-based learning and magnet themed instruction.
STEM infusion will be a huge focus for our staff, students and families this year! Our students enjoy service projects, partnerships between other local schools and even a little athletic rivalry to keep our competitive spirits up.
The students in 6-8th grade are the leaders of the school and are eligible to play sports FINALLY! However they do not have locks on their lockers and therefore carry uniforms and equipment throughout the school day. Having a place to store their belongings should not be a concern for students at school. They deserve to have the opportunity to have a place of their own to care for. Locks will ensure that student belongings are safe and secure.
My students need their own space.
In addition, having their own locks will help them tremendously. It will provide them with the opportunity to exhibit independence and responsibility. Having a space to call their own will help them build their confidence and build their independence.
