I teach students with Autism in grades 6-8. They need an area to calming with sensory items, and books for our silent reading area. Many of my students live in poverty and some are considered homeless.
My students have a lot of needs, and one of those needs are sensory items for their calming area, and books to read during center time.
They get frustrated when they find a task too hard and need a place to calm down.
My students have a lot of needs, and one of those needs is sensory items for their calming area, and books to read during center time.
Working in a poverty-stricken area it is hard to get assistance with materials needed to help my students.
This would provide my students with the materials necessary to help my students with their sensory and calming needs. This would also provide them some books to read during center time.
Help me give my students an area to calm when need, take a sensory break or take a brain break. They need this area, so they can take a brain break or clam down when frustrated. I hope to be able to provide them with this area.
