Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My scholars are city kids. They come from diverse circumstances and often face challenges both inside and outside of school. Yet, they are all amazing. They come to school with smiles on their faces, and are very eager to learn.
Adults are often able to push through adversity but my students are shining examples of resilience.
They come to school ready to tackle new experiences and learning and deserve materials that will take them to new heights. They are smart, talented and simply the best.
My Project
Power Pens will take my students in new learning directions. They provide instant feedback and allow for students to rethink their math answer or move onto a more challenging problem. The Magnatiles and Design Blocks are requested to allow students to work in smaller individualized groups and math stations. Additionally, they will create more opportunities for differentiating math workshop.
By donating to our project, you will not only be helping to improve mathematical skills but will also be contributing to the development of the students' growth mindset.
They can, and do, power though anything.
Students will be able to work on different skills and review previously taught skills. They will also challenge themselves to try new things and to create things that excite them. These additional materials will help us grow even more and will allow for thinking and engineering to happen without limitation.
