My students need a Mobile Student Work Organizer and Tabletop Writing Center to organize and store their work. Having their own space helps them stay organized!
We are a brand new school in a growing community in Katy, TX! My students are a fun group with lots of energy who love learning and having fun while doing it! They've come together from different backgrounds and schools and are so excited to greet each new day!
We had a crazy start to our inaugural year when Hurricane Harvey arrived and flooded our neighborhoods after only a week and a half of school.
We missed eleven days of school in the first month! Many students were displaced due to the storm and its aftermath and all of our lives were affected. Despite the challenging start to our school's first year, my students have weathered the storm and come out on top.
My Project
My 2nd grade students are new to changing classes for different subjects. Because they will be sharing our classroom with students from another class, they need a way to store their unfinished work, notebooks, and other materials.
I'm requesting a Mobile Student Work Organizer which has shelves for storage.
Having a shelf of their own to store their materials will give my littles some ownership of a little part of our classroom and help them stay prepared and organized. The students are always very excited to start switching classes like the "big" kids, and I want to make that transition as smooth as possible. Because we are a flexible seating classroom, the students don't always sit in the same spot. Having their own "cubby" helps to anchor my flexible classroom.
Tabletop Writing Center will also help the students stay organized in their writing station. The center has built-in storage for markers, paper, crayons, and scissors.
Having a place to store all that the students need keeps them focused and on task.
