This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Have you ever wondered how Claymation movies are made My students want to learn!
My students are inner city students in a title 1 school.
89% of our students are minority students, and 82% receive free or reduced lunch. Our students have not been scoring well on the state test, and we need to change that. They get excited when they are using technology, and I need to harness that excitement to encourage them to perform better.
My Project
iPad minis are great tools that allow students to make movies, write stories, and use apps to learn. They can read stories, access the Internet, and share their knowledge with others. For this project, students will use the iPads to take a series of photos that they will put together in iMovie to create a Claymation movie.
My students will create amazing movies that we will share with their families through our website.
Getting the kids and their families excited will motivate them to want to work, and when they want to work they will be more successful.
