My Little Kindergarten Bugs Gathering Around the Rug

My students need a new rectangular rug for our classroom. We spend most of our time together on the floor, and this rug is perfect.

My Students

My kindergarteners are amazing! They come from broken homes, poverty, and sadness! But when they walk through the classroom door, all of that gets set aside and we become one!

My five-year-olds are eager to learn, curious, and energetic!

Most have never been to preschool before and this is the beginning for them.

In those hours we are together each day, we dream of being doctors, astronauts, football players, singers, teachers, etc. They know the world is theirs! We might be a low-income Title I school, but inside my classroom walls, we are powerful and can do anything!

My Project

We are in need of a new rug for our learning time. We spend so much time on the floor sitting on our rug. This is where our reading and math happens. It is also the place to gather to become "one" and bond with each other.

A clean new rug will be ideal for our classroom.

Our current rug is fifteen years old and is old and worn out. This forest green rectangular rug will be very versatile in our classroom and will be able to be used for many years. It does not help with the actual learning of my students, but this rug will provide a nice clean place for the learning to happen. We would appreciate this so much!
