Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Pre-K students live in a very low-income area in Dallas, Texas. In our school, our goal is to prepare them with the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful. My students' ages range is from early four to early five. They are eager to learn new things and engage in fun and exciting learning activities. They like to learn by playing games, creating, and teaching each other and me.
My students make me smile every day and give me the inspiration to do my best in the classroom.
My Project
I am asking for these materials because I want my students to have the opportunity to write using different materials. My students come from low-income families; therefore it is difficult for them to afford this type of crayons, which are adequate for my students' little hands. The dry erase markers and erasers are used in our classroom daily and the ones the parents bring do not last all year. The caddies are for my students to have these and other supplies readily available on their tables.
I want my students to have a diverse array of writing materials to enhance their writing experience and lay the foundation for their learning success.
