My Students
My students come from diverse backgrounds. They have high expectations for themselves and I hold them to high standards that they are eager to meet. They do not let the fact that we are in a low-income district and facing many challenges due to budget cuts stop them from achieving their goals.
The challenge of motivating my students to meet goals they think they could never accomplish drives me to work as hard as I can every day.
My students are on varies reading levels. Some are reading above grade level, some are reading at grade level and some are reading below reading level. Many students lack the resources at home to help them become better readers.
My Project
My students are on variety reading levels therefore, they need reading books on their levels. Students who are reading on levels C-G and levels H-K will benefit from the set of four Lakeshore Learning Leveled L-N Read-Along Books. Since our class sizes are large, 5-7 students are at the reading station at a time. Additional individual books are requested from Amazon Business so each student will have a book at the reading station to read.
When these students go to the reading station they will have books on their levels to read and listen to.
This will help students acquire the skills they need to become proficient readers by reading their just right book.
