My Kingdom for ZBrush

My students need experience on ZBrush, the cutting edge, 3D modeling technology that contemporary artists are using in the field today.

I teach art in a very poor school. The economic times have significantly hit our state and subsequently our educational budget. Just a few years ago, before the world became a much smaller place with the Internet, few of our students used to believe they stood any chance to compete against students from other schools after graduation. Then, with better technology things started to change.

Now, with cutbacks across the board, the art department is just lucky still be around. I see the old mentality starting to creep back in. I have to show not only my students, but this community as well, that you don't have to come from a big school to learn to use the top of the line technology being used in the arts today.

With DonorsChoose.org, the most amazing software available can be within our reach. ZBrush from Pixologic will give our students the skill sets needed to compete at the front lines of the graphics, 3D modeling, CAD and film industries.

With what amounts to the spare change laying around on your counter-tops or under the cushions of your couch, you can restore my students' sense of being part of the global race to make change. You'll be affording them the opportunities to compete on a level playing field as their contemporaries. Best of all, you'll be providing them the opportunities to acquire the skills they can take to a good art school or even right into the CG industry. Who knows, maybe it's the dollar you give here that make this proposal successful and helps to create a great artist.
