This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a homeroom class. We are close. I teach English & Social Emotional Learning in this class. I may have these same students for up to 4 years. I love them like family! They are often hungry even after eating school breakfast. I have a cabinet that they can go into and get a snack. I have won an electric kettle for them for cocoa and tea.

We are running low on food and cocoa in our homeroom.

The students have noticed and ask me when we can get cocoa again. I explained that I'm working on getting them their own mugs so we can reduce the cost of replacing the disposable cups. I bought us snacks and another bag of rice for our aging rice cooker. We also need to replace our rice cooker.

Please help me help my sweet deserving students that are often hungry and thirsty.
