This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The majority of my students come from low-income households, from the southwest side of Atlanta. The students all receive free lunch and are really missing the classroom and school which is their safe haven. The students are leaving elementary school and transitioning to middle school during a pandemic. These students are the first students to be fully virtual and I know for some it must be very challenging.
The students love to use technology and personalize their tools.
The students are forced to be more responsible and ensure that their education is continued with no supervision due to most parents having to return to work.
My Project
The headset will be key to the kids to focus and ensure they can hear the lesson clearly. The students are in a household where their siblings also have to virtual learn and need some type of privacy. The students are also sharing the internet services and laptops speakers have been failing technically. The headset will ensure the leaning continues if this occurs.
The headsets can literally change how the students view the virtual learning experience.
The headset will give the students a feel of seriousness and inspire them to learn and attend class.
