Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students in my class are fun loving and hard working. They love to read and look forward to math and science. As a school located in an urban area, my students face many other challenges. For my students, school is a safe place where they come ready to learn everyday! My school is very proud of how hard our students work and the accomplishments they make each day.

These students are hard workers and are ready to learn so they can become future leaders in our community.

My Project

Time For Kids is a fantastic magazine that is available for children. By helping fund this project my students will have their own magazine to read in the classroom and take home with them. The text is written on grade-level and comes with several lessons which I will use in my classroom.

This will be the first magazine subscription that most of my students have ever had!

They will be able to learn about current events that are age appropriate and written on their reading level. What a great educational material to teach my students about the world around them.
