Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a first-year teacher who is ready to make a difference in my school. However, I am not a stranger to this specific school. In college, I completed 40 hours of observations which led me to start and finish my internship with these great students!
I will be teaching a room full of awesome, sweet and ready to learn third graders!
The school I am teaching at is a Title I school with 80% of our student population on free or reduced-price lunch. The school is a minority based school with 77% of students identifying as Hispanic and 14% as Caucasian. I have seen great things come from our students, and I am ready to see what else they will accomplish!
My students will be able to not only learn but also grow with the tools I can provide to them. This project will not only fund my classroom, but it will also help me to ensure that my students succeed educationally, emotionally and socially. I am so excited to start my first year teaching with these great students!
My Project
With the iPad, pencils and paper, will be able to get my students excited about school! Growing up, I never liked school because it was so boring. I am changing that for my students! I am making it more engaging, fun and hands-on.
These notebooks and pencils will ensure that my students have the tools needed to succeed.
Using the iPad will allow students to play games to aid in their comprehension and fluency with different subjects throughout school. I am excited to teach with centers, and having a technology center with an iPad will ensure students are having fun while learning!
