Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the most lovable students I know. I get called "Tia" (Aunt) since we are all genetically related in South Texas. My students come from a small community where everyone knows everyone. All my students always try to achieve excellence. My campus has produced several Valedictorians and top 10 students over the years.

My Project

My weekly lessons touch on different subjects and one that students enjoy the most is talking about feelings and how emotions affect us and the people around us.

I am a DGG school counselor and I would like to have an accessible MY FEELINGS CORNER with activities students can use to understand and regulate feelings and emotions after they have gone to sessions with me.

Students would also benefit from having books and games in their rooms that they can use independently when they have a need to calm down.
