Help me give my students Christmas toys and crafts, a toaster oven, fridge lock, learning games, a castle, hot wheels, bracelet kits, and a dinosaur track.
We are leaders in my school and proud of it! Our students work so hard to be the best leaders they can be. Our school is located along the rural Gulf Coast of Alabama, and many of our students come from homes with obstacles to overcome. Despite their many obstacles, our students rise to the challenge every day to be the best versions of themselves, so they can help others and our community. Our school motto is Learn, Love, Serve, Lead.
My Project
It has been a crazy year so far. We started a school a month late. We started virtually and then came face-to-face. We've had two hurricanes. We've moved classrooms (this was a good thing!) and now it's my favorite time of year. I'm so excited to spend the next 3 weeks with my students. As we go through our December learning Unit about the Spirit of Giving and doing for others we will remember everything we have to be thankful for this year and learn how to spread Joy and Christmas Cheer. I would love to be able to provide my students each with a small gift under our tree for our Christmas party this year. The hot wheels are for the boys and the bracelet kits for the girls. The snow globes with their picture in it will make a great gift to send home for parents. One of our fine motor activities we do each year is students lace together a stocking cut from a full size paper grocery bag. (Our Occupational Therapist loves this craft!!) These big stockings have lots of room for Christmas goodies like the necklaces, bracelets, glasses, squish toys, and the head bands will be for our class party. Its also fun for the class to get some presents. The cardboard castle, dinosaur tracks, all about me sorting, and color sorting magnets will be great additions to our classroom. We are always doing different cooking activities as part of our Science curriculum and Life Skills activities. I would love to add a toaster oven to our classroom so we can do our own baking in the classroom from time to time. I'd love to have my students make Christmas cookies as one of our: giving to other lessons!
