Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work in a self-contained behavioral classroom with an awesome bunch of students. They all have varying needs and all require support behaviorally and academically. They all have amazing potential but sometimes feel down about themselves. I want to show them how special and smart they are.
I want to give them every opportunity to succeed by teaching them the skills needed to be successful in school and in the community.
I am trying to ensure that my students are confident in themselves and know how to advocate for themselves.
My Project
I work in a self-contained behavioral classroom with students who have varying disabilities. The academic abilities of my students are all on different levels. There is no textbook that meets their individual needs. The printer in my classroom broke and I need to get it replaced so I can have access to the valuable resources that the internet provides. I utilize different learning platforms and print a lot of resources from them for my students. It would be very beneficial to again be able to provide my students with these resources. My students are a great bunch of kids and I want to be able to provide them with the tools they need to be successful.
