My students need a book case. A leak occurred causing two of my bookcases to fall apart, and books are scattered all around the floor.

My Students

My students have started class and our classroom library is a disaster. A water leak occurred over the summer causing two book cases to break. My students are not able to take advantage of the wonderful books I have. My students and I would be extremely grateful for this generous gift.

I have students of all nationalities and poverty levels.

They are sweet, kind children. They have a desire to learn and to be taught. Many of them are anxiously awaiting to begin the journey of reading. I am hoping that I can introduce them to my classroom library as soon as I can. They will be thrilled.

My Project

I am requesting a book case for my classroom because I am unable to share my extensive collection with them. I have begun my reader's workshop and there are many students who thrive on reading and some who struggle. Since lacking a functional book case they are not able to just pick up a book and read. I want to be able to give all my students the same opportunities with reading.

My request is so important because my students are not allowed to enjoy my classroom library.

Reading is a vital piece to my curriculum and my reader's workshop. My students have not been able to read the wide range of books I have to offer. I am looking forward to them finding themselves engulfed in my books.
