Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This year, we have begun our first student council club at MXA. We have class representatives beginning from Kindergarten and our cabinet leaders in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Our goal is to continue to create areas of responsibility within the school and in the community.
Our first task is to begin fundraising.
With the support of our staff, we would like to begin an on-site "coffee shop" for faculty to purchase before school, where the student council will be our on-site baristas. Our goal is to create a coffee shop, make and deliver coffee and other beverages, while raising money to support our on-going projects throughout the Spring Semester.
