Our students are from a high poverty area. We would like to teach the students about magnets and incorporate them into our reading series.
Our first graders need fun centers that will help them study about magnets.

My Project
Teaching about magnets has been a learning standard that has many possibilities! We plan to incorporate our magnet unit with two stories in our reading series. One is about homes in different countries and the other is about robots. With the tiles, students will build homes from a country they have learned about the style home there. With the robot kit, students will assemble the robots and recreate/retell the story. The science kit will allow all the students to experiment with what the magnet attracts and what it doesn't.
