My students need trumpet and trombone mutes to help them be successful in the jazz band program here at our school. They can use the books to ease the process of playing together for the first time.
My students are kind, hard-working, and motivated every day. They are in a rural district where the poverty rate is high. However under those circumstances, my students still give me their best every day, no matter what is going on outside of school. They are positive and excited each and every day.
The music program helps the students explore their creative sides.
They are able to break free of the core subjects and be creative for a class period. They enjoy playing in concert band, jazz band, middle school marching band and singing in our school choruses.
My students are helpful no matter what the task is. They look forward to helping in any way possible. They help the younger students with how to play their instruments in their spare time at the end of every day and they help me with keeping the classroom organized. They are seriously the best students that a teacher could ask for.
My Project
The jazz band program has been growing throughout the last few years and they are in need of supplies. The students need new method books to ease the process of playing together in those first few weeks and throughout the season. With the new method books we could play more music in a quicker time frame.
The students are asked to play throughout the community during the school year and they need the method books to help them play more from the start of the season.
They are asked to play at nursing homes, festivals, and award ceremonies.
The mutes will help when the music calls for muted brass. It will help them excel as young musicians. With your help funding the methods books and mutes, we will be able to perform more music, in more places, for more people.
