This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The Mustang Athletics program represents the best of what it means to be a student-athlete. We want to develop leaders that understand the importance of teamwork, humility, and perseverance. We expect our student-athletes to be dedicated and committed to success in all areas of their lives.
The Mustang Soccer Team consists of 3 sport-athletes, scholars in the top 10% of the class or scholars taking all honors courses.
The students work hard in the classroom but I want them to have the same success and support on the field. Students come from all over the city of Memphis to participate in academics and athletics.
My Project
The wonderful young men of TSTEM Academy at EHS are in need of uniforms. The boys on our team work hard all year to maintain good academic standing. They are a group of athletic and academic achievers with big dreams but funding is limited for small sport athletics. It is disheartening for the team to see their classmates with matching uniforms and warm-ups while our team is without. Help level the playing field! We need home and away uniforms!
As a school known for basketball and academics, these uniforms will shine the light on a great sport that craves the attention it deserves.
