Help me give my students new and exciting ways to learn coding with Bloxels, engineering with K'NEX and creativity with Perler Beads in the Library Makerspace area and classrooms.
Our Middle School (5th & 6th Grade) is a fun and exciting place to learn. The library is the hub of our school and hosts a Makerspace area that provides students with hands-on learning experiences that help them discover and learn by problem-solving. The library's goal is to expand the available activities to more students and teachers in our school. These activities help prepare our students with 21st century skills in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM). We make learning FUN!
My Project
Our Middle School prides itself on personalized learning. The Mustang Makers Project provides new and fun opportunities for our students to learn science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) skills.
Middle schools students like to have a choice in their learning.
This project is a great way to offer extensions to learning in the classroom.
The activities in this project include coding with Bloxels with the high student interest in video games, engineering and building skills with K'NEX kits, and creative skills with Perler Beads. All the supplies can be used in the makerspace area of the library or can be checked out by teachers to reach over 750 students.
