I am a proud teacher in the public school system! My students come from diverse backgrounds, but one thing they all have in common, is their love for learning new things. Like many students in the public school system, my students need a learning environment that can meet their diverse learning needs.
I teach a wonderful group of 4th and 5th students with different abilities who are amazing, unique, and full of joy.
My students all have unique abilities and are technology motivated. Every donation made will make a world of difference in my students' education.
My Project
Creating the Mustang Coffee Cart will give my students the opportunity to work on their social skills and many other important life skills. Coffee Cart Fridays will allow my students to have a fun activity to learn new skills and also have the opportunity to get to know other students and staff members in the school.
Running this coffee cart each Friday will help create an inclusive environment at my school.
My students will not only run the coffee cart each Friday for the teachers but they could also run the coffee cart for the monthly coffee chats with the principal, which would promote parent and community involvement.
The skills my students will learn by running this coffee cart include: following a recipe, sequencing steps in an activity, fulfilling an order, appropriate social skills, sharing, peer-peer work, basic number recognition, basic money exchange, reading and comprehension, health and hygiene, and so much more!
