This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students get a variety of experiences in the liberal arts. Our school believes that students should experience the arts from an early age. Each week, students have art class, music class, and clubs. We are hoping to add a recorder club to the mix.

The students at AOC are passionate learners.

We strive to give them all they need to be independent life-long learners. We believe that with these skills, the students of AOC can take their passions and develop them into careers, research, and future achievements of all kinds.

My Project

On Friday afternoon at AOC, we have a period for clubs. Students select which club they want to be a part of. The clubs are run by teachers and they are based on teachers' passions as well as clubs we know will satisfy the sports student, the artist, the dancer, and the musician. A new club has been formed called the Recorder Club. With the materials listed in this project, we are hoping to give each student their own recorder. They will be used in this club, and hopefully after practice, students will use recorders as part of our annual school concerts.

We know how musical our students are.

These recorders will bring the gift of music to our school. It will further our music and chorus classes and help each student feel like a professional musician.
