My Students

My school is a K-5 public school that is located in a growing urban community. It is a moderate poverty school which means that one third of the students qualify for free or reduced price lunch, and there is a population of ELL students. My classroom is filled with motivated fourth grade students that are creative, inquisitive and have a love for learning! Making learning fun and innovative is essential in molding young children's minds. Reading is part of our daily routine, and this project would take one of our favorite children's books to the next level!

My Project

I would like to take my fabulous fourth graders on a field trip to experience a professional performance on the stage. Dog Man: The Musical is a musical adventure based on the popular literature series. Experiencing live theater will expand my student’s imagination while working on their listening skills.

Help me give the students a chance to see a book come to life!
